Cynthy has the exceptional gift of being a warm, fun-loving and effective teacher. She started teaching liturgical organ, music and music theory for liturgical organists 20 years ago. Today, Cynthy teaches lever harp to students of all ages; from youth through adult. She especially delights in beginning adults.

Harp Instruction is offered in her private studio, in Richmond, VA, on a weekly basis. She is also available for Harp Coaching, on an individual and less frequent basis, for experienced players.

Cynthy is available for private harp lessons, coaching sessions, or workshops online, over the Internet! The Internet technology surpasses the outdated VHS and DVDs where a harp instructor could not assist immediately in technique or lessons.

The Internet Technology used is called SKYPE. It is a Internet software available FREE and works with High-Speed Internet Connections.

With the use of the free software program, and a very inexpensive webcam, the student and the teacher connect via the Internet for an interactive, real-time harp lesson or harp coaching session! The teacher and student are able to see and talk with each other with clarity; and be able to interact.

The best part is that the student is able to continue their harp lessons, or coaching session, in the comfort and privacy of their home, on their own harp! This is especially wonderful for people that live in areas where a harp instructor is not in close proximity.
